From Harley Rocker To Harley Chopper By An Official Harley …

Most of you will not build a bike from the ground up, just customize their stock Harley (although some projects need you to strip down the bike to bare frame…). And me I love to be aware of a nice custom Harley built by an official Harley-Davidson dealer. Less and less frequent in the US. Maybe foreign dealers have or feel that they have more freedom in experimenting beyond the factory limitations.

So, I feature a simple but very nice looking 2009 FCW Rocker whose powertrain (TC96B, 1585 cc) and frame geometry were kept untouched. Yes, there are limits to what a Harley Dealer will accept to do… Still, by the addition of a series of well chosen bot-on custom parts with a bobber or chopper feel and a simple flat black paint job, you can go from today to yesterday for a reasonable budget without worrying about your title and your insurance agent turning you down.

The main parts  for this make over are: BSL Exhaust (ceramic coated), TB Aircleaner, TB Apehanger Handlebar, Motogadget Mini Speedometer, “Bobber Style” Tank with smaller Fuel Pump Unit, Custom Fender front and rear, H-D Hanau Spring Seat, Hydraulic Clutch Conversion, Arlen Ness Grips and Footpegs, Side Mount License Plate Holder. Built by Harley-Davidson Hanau Germany. (photography H. Roesler, Frank Sander)

That is a great looking bike. It looks like it took more than some aftermarkets and some paint to create that thing, and I mean that as a compliment. Also, is proves a great point about aftermarkets that they really can create a unique custom look for your harley. Love the custom exhaust on this bike as well, I have heard that the ceramic coated pipes are great, and also that they cool down really quikly. Great looking ride!
