Based in Wichita, Kansas, Big Dog Motorcycles is one of the larger manufacturers of semi-custom motorcycles in the United States. Founded in 1994, Big Dog put together bike #20,000 in 2006.
Big Dog has five models that are currently in production: the K-9, the Ridgeback, the Mastiff, the Pitbull and the Mutt. All the motorcycles currently being produced by Big Dog can be classified as choppers, and they're all equipped with a 117 cubic inch V-twin engine, 6-speed transmissions, a wide rear tire and extensive chrome. There are over 69 different paint and graphic options available with Big Dog motorcycles, as well as many, many accessories like custom seats, grips, windshields and sissy bars.
