Press Release Source: DILEMMA On Friday February 18, 2011, 8:01 am EST LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DILEMMA (DilemmaLA.com/), a Los Angeles-based Branded Entertainment and Marketing Communications Agency, has officially launched an ambitious online horror experience, "Chopper," today with the release of the project's teaser trailer featuring international horror icon Tyler Mane (Halloween 1,2). Based on the upcoming comic written by Martin Shapiro, Chopper is essentially a contemporary spin on the timeless Sleepy Hollow mythology with storylines revolving around a headless outlaw biker seeking vengeance in the afterlife by killing mortal sinners. Chopper marks the first project moving into production from a scheduled slate of branded programming that DILEMMA will distribute across a variety of traditional and non-traditional channels in 2011. The company has already lined up a number of sponsors eager to support the development of branded content that will resonate authentically with today's digitally connected consumer. DILEMMA's founder, J.C. Christofilis, stated, "The advertising landscape is experiencing a seismic shift toward brands engaging consumers on a deeper level by actually entertaining them with premium, social content versus interrupting them with inferior ads that simply get ignored." For Chopper, Southern California-based action sports apparel brand Sullen immediately recognized the potential for the horror and heavy metal music related storylines to strike a chord with their key, young male demographic and became a supporter early in the process. Sullen Clothing's co-founder, Jeremy Hanna, added, "We pride ourselves on being an innovative, art-driven company and J.C. laid out a clear vision of how Chopper's creative execution will enable Sullen to authentically reinforce our edgy brand values with our existing fans, while driving awareness of our products with a new consumer base as well."The teaser trailer pulls no punches in delivering the mayhem and gore true horror fans come to expect with such quality entertainment. DILEMMA tapped a far-reaching network of Hollywood veterans to execute the concept with the highest possible level of craftsmanship and production value despite the challenges of lower budgets typically associated with online content. The project's VFX team recently completed work on "The Green Hornet," and the practical FX team lead, Jeff Farley, has over 30 years of experience delivering effects for such horror classics as "The Blob" and "Pet Sematary."Mr. Christofilis commented, "My intent was to showcase that Hollywood-level production value is truly possible in the online realm and we can reach vast online communities that justify increased budgets in this space. Traditional talent and producers are acknowledging the fact that the long-promised potential of so-called 'convergent' media is finally being achieved and they would be wise to step up their involvement in fast-evolving mediums such as online and mobile. our star, Tyler Mane, is famous for playing roles in traditional fare such as Michael Myers in Rob Zombie's last two 'Halloween' films and Sabertooth in 'Xmen,' yet he was able to envision how online will be instrumental in diversifying his stature in the industry. He was bold enough to embrace this medium as the future." On the digital front, DILEMMA has recently expanded Chopper's creative team to include contributions from Transmedia Producer Nina Bargiel. In addition to television writing credits on Disney's "Lizzie McGuire," Nina co-created last year's hit MTV webseries "Valemont." Chopper's teaser trailer can be found online via the following link. (Caution: Graphic Content)Video: youtube.com/watch?v=xosUS87LI9Y Campaign elements for Chopper, including the project's core webseries, will be released starting summer 2011. PEZ Candy Inc. to display its Orange County Chopper at MS Taste of Hope

A whimsical childhood collectible filled with colorful bits of candy confections has also become a driving force dispensing hope and support to those whose illness can't be sugar-coated.PEZ Candy Inc. president and CEO Joseph Vittoria heads up a company that is renowned for bringing joy to candy lovers throughout the world but, a decade ago, he was forced to deal with the sobering news about a family member living with an incurable disease. In late 1999, Vittoria's nephew John Schiaroli, of Wilton, came back from a ski trip feeling a tingling sensation in his right foot that went up his leg accompanied by intense lower back pain. two months later, Schiaroli was diagnosed with MS."You absolutely hate to hear that someone you care about has been diagnosed with a chronic illness and that his or her life is going to change," shared Vittoria. "It's one of those moments that you wish would never happen but after it does you lend as much support as possible."Vittoria had met and made friends with people living with MS throughout his career but it wasn't until Schiaroli's diagnosis that he understood the impact the disease can have on someone. He has since made it a priority to support several youth and family related charities including the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter whenever he can, including frequently participating in its annual Walk MS event. That's why Orange-based PEZ Candy Inc. will be on hand for this year's MS Taste of Hope, Fairfield County, which will take place in Norwalk next month, with one of its most unique and eye-catching displays -- a custom-built PEZ chopper constructed by the famed Orange County Chopper crew.PEZ Candy Inc. was first marketed as a compressed peppermint candy more than eight decades ago in Austria and has since become a cultural phenomenon, as the company estimates that more than three billion PEZ candies are consumed annually in the United States alone. Even with its legion of fans, many of whom collect PEZ dispensers, Vittoria wanted to appeal to a broader audience of possible new PEZ fanatics and he reached out to Orange Country Chopper to create the custom PEZ chopper."I had an idea that we needed to do something to engage our customers and appeal to a broader audience," explained Vittoria, a new Canaan resident. "We wanted to grab people's attention and when they see that chopper drive through, it definitely captures their attention."The custom chopper features a unique PEZ-themed paint job and accessories including a place for PEZ dispensers to ride along. "We really had no idea how much people would like the PEZ Chopper, we thought it would appeal to kids and teenagers," admitted Vittoria. "But when we take it out, we get a great response from everyone, especially adults. We're really looking forward to displaying it at the MS Taste of Hope event."The MS Taste of Hope, Fairfield County, will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Aitoro kitchen showroom in Norwalk. Guests can take part in a silent auction, will take home a bagful of great gifts and be treated to fine cuisine and wine from Fairfield County's top restaurants.Schiaroli spoke at last year's event as a guest speaker and he is "thrilled" that Vittoria and PEZ Candy will be at this year's tasting."There's no question that I'm honored my uncle would get involved to help raise awareness about my disease and about the event," he said. "It's certainly a great event and I had a wonderful time last year. I'm hopeful that we can get even more people to come out this year to enjoy it."Earlier this month, Schiaroli completed something he once thought unimaginable -- his first triathlon. An avid cyclist who has participated in Bike MS events, Schiaroli said he is "fortunate" that he has been able to control his MS symptoms."My lifestyle has changed dramatically since I was diagnosed as I've worked hard to try to exercise and stay healthy," he shared. "I know that I've been extremely lucky with my symptoms and I look at it as an opportunity to inspire others and make a difference."Schiaroli's zeal for life has clearly inspired Vittoria, who has seen how rapidly MS can change someone's lifestyle for the worse."I know someone with MS who has been severely handicapped by the disease and has to use a wheelchair to get around," said Vittoria. "When that diagnosis came, we didn't know how John would respond but he has never used it as an excuse. instead, he's used the disease as motivation and it's amazing to see him in action."More than 6,000 Connecticut residents, like Schiaroli, are affected by multiple sclerosis, a potentially debilitating disease affecting the central nervous system. The cause is unknown and, as a result, there is currently no cure for MS. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot be predicted. In 2009, the MS Taste of Hope, Fairfield County attracted 130 guests and raised $15,080. Funds raised by the Connecticut Chapter through events, such as MS Taste of Hope, ensure ongoing scientific research to find better treatments and a cure, as well as to provide vital programs and services offered by the chapter to those in the state living with multiple sclerosis. For Vittoria, the event is an opportunity to help raise awareness about multiple sclerosis and hope for the future."When John was diagnosed, it made me think about the younger generation and how vibrant and alive they are," he described. "John greatly benefitted from being diagnosed early and my hope is that the medical community can continue to diagnose MS earlier for better treatments and, eventually, find a cure."Tickets for the MS Taste of Hope, Fairfield County are $50 in advance and $65 at the door. The new 96.7 The Coast is the media sponsor for the event. For information about the event, contact Carrie Levitt at 860-913-2550, ext. 332, or e-mail at . If you've got kids, you'll feel at home in Pine Bluff Estates. You'll find lots of families with children in this upscale neighborhood, set off Aldrich Road in Ballston Spa. a quick drive around the horseshoe-shaped subdivision will tell you that. More than a few houses had driveway basketball hoops and backyard jungle gyms -- anchored by snow -- in plain sight during a recent weekday afternoon trip through the neighborhood. a few homes had in-ground swimming pools that were covered for the winter. Pine Bluff Estates is a good name for this neighborhood because it's surrounded by tall pine trees, which added a nice splash of green to a bright winter's day. Pine trees provide plenty of backyard shade here. they also line the streets, sharing half-acre lots with Colonials, built in several styles. The neighborhood, which sits in the town of Milton, is close to the Saratoga County fair Grounds, but not so close that it's too hectic come fair time. and while it's rural out this way -- Pine Bluff Estates sits east and north of a wide, wooded area -- the neighborhood is just a few miles from shopping, banks and other services in the village of Ballston Spa. SchoolsChildren who live in Pine Bluff Estates are enrolled in the Ballston Spa Central School District, attending Milton Terrace South Elementary School, Ballston Spa Middle School and Ballston Spa High School. According to the 2009-10 state Report Card on the Schools, Ballston Spa had an enrollment of approximately 4,300 students. the high school had 1,449 students enrolled that year. In 2009-10, 93 percent of graduating seniors earned a Regents diploma. CommutingPine Bluff Estates is bordered by Fairground Avenue to the north and east, a wooded area and the Wood Hill and Milton Terrace South elementary schools to the south, and a large wooded area to the west. Aldrich Road north leads to Fairground Avenue, which winds west, south and east to Charlton Street. Charlton Street hooks south to Ballston Avenue, which runs south and becomes State Route 67. Route 67 leads east to a pair of roundabouts and the on-ramp to Interstate 87 at Exit 12. I-87, also known as the Adirondack Northway, heads north to Saratoga Springs and south to Clifton Park and Albany. Prospect Street, accessible via Fairground Avenue, links with State Route 50, which runs through the village of Ballston Spa's downtown and business area. Shopping and recreationThere are plenty of restaurants, gas stations and specialty shops in downtown Ballston Spa, including the Coffee Planet, Russell's Deli and the Pizza Works. Also downtown: the National Bottle Museum, which exhibits handmade bottles from the 18th and 19th centuries. Downtown merchants sponsor numerous activities throughout the year, such as First Fridays, featuring live music and other activities at stores and shops. there are outdoor concerts and a farmers market in the summer. the Ballston Spa Film Festival, held in August, features short films from the Capital Region as well as from national and international filmmakers. A Price Chopper is at 115 Ballston Ave.Fishing and boating are allowed on Foote's Pond, a few miles south of Pine Bush Estates. the Ballston Spa Country Club is on West High Street. the club has a private 18-hole golf course. News9.com OKLAHOMA CITY -- Pros 4 Vets is a local organization that provides a variety of support for American soldiers when they return from serving our country. the organization has turned to an Oklahoma motorcycle company to help a veteran on a mission. "Some inner peace, some solidarity when you're one with the machine. It's just you and the bike when you're traveling down the road," said veteran Dar Holdsworth. Dar Holdsworth loves to ride motorcycles. He also loves building them at his business Darwin Motorcycles where they create American-made motorcycles for customers around the world. But this Desert Storm veteran's love for country goes much deeper. "Each year we like to do something to support the troops. And we're able to do it through the bike," said Holdsworth. Now Darwin Motorcycles is teaming up with Pros 4 Vets to build a custom bike for Retired Army Major Ed Pulido. Major Pulido served in the U.S. Army for 19 years. During a mission in Iraq in 2004 Major Pulido hit a roadside bomb. His life and his family flashed before his eyes. "I pulled this little picture of her in her cheerleader suit out of my pocket and held it tight. And I thought if I die this day, the American people will be there for my family," said Pulido. Major Pulido lost his leg. He said it's a sacrifice for his country. but this American patriot's mission didn't end there. "I've been able to help so many people and to take care of those who take care of us," said Pulido. He does that by traveling the country on behalf of groups like Pros 4 Vets, helping veterans and their families. but this time Pros 4 Vets and Darwin Motorcycles are giving back to him. Major Pulido's bike will be one of a kind. "It's gonna be a three-wheel bike that allows him to ride with his disability. He's going to be able to ride this bike, enjoy it, have fun and look cool," said Holdsworth. "As I walk through those doors and smell the shop, and hearing everyone banging and working, it brings humbleness to my heart to know they're building a special piece of my heart in this bike," said Pulido. "For me to be able to be on this bike, to use my disability as a strength, and to use it as a way that this bike can help me recover." Dar Holdsworth said the motorcycle is a small sacrifice. "It doesn't matter how big or how small.
